The Eight Arch Brewing world is brimming with excitement. As some of you may already know, we are set to move to our bigger premises!

Taking us literally a stone’s throw from our current site, across the road to the former ‘Toad Hall,’ it marks a huge moment for us, going across to the bigger unit and starting another exciting chapter in the Eight Arch Brewing journey. The new unit, being an empty shell, is allowing us to put our stamp on it and really make it our own… but this is not coming without its challenges.

Our New Site

Wimborne, which has become known for its great selection of pubs and restaurants and the home of Eight Arch for the past 9 years, so we always knew that we could not move away from our home ground. So when the opportunity came up to obtain a bigger site but staying effectively in the same location, how could we turn this down? The actual brew kit will stay the same at the moment, but our ability to brew more will increase, with the brewery now having a dedicated area, technically separate but still very much visible and part of the tap-room. The only difference will be the brewing area will be able to function throughout the week, even when the tap-room is open, meaning our potential brew days go from 3 and a half to 5, which in turn means more beer for everyone!

Not only this, but the tap-room will be able to increase in size. Especially on those colder, wetter winter days, we will have both the ground floor and the 1st floor with seating to enjoy the beer while being able to watch the brewery in full swing. But most importantly, the taproom promises to keep a relaxed environment that takes the brewing process seriously but without any pretentiousness.

Not forgetting the outside spaces where we will have improved seating and greenery dedicated to the tap-room.

Looking Ahead

In the lead-up to opening the new brewery in February 2024, we have lots of work to do on several fronts, from both a cosmetic and structural standpoint, as well as moving all the equipment from our current site into the new one, trying not to interrupt the brewing schedule too much! So all in all, we have a lot to do but are SO EXCITED for all of us to celebrate the new space together.”
