There is the first time for everything and we thought it was time for us to brew our first milk stout.
We have always enjoyed brewing a good stout or an ice-cream pale, after learning from some of the best in the industry over the years we thought why not combine the two for a milk stout. Steve came up with the idea for a coconut and raspberry combination at the start of 2018 as its two of his favourite combinations but it has taken us until May 2019 to finally brew it!
We decided to add toasted coconut to the mash and boil alongside Sorachi Ace hops to amplify the coconut flavour and aromas before adding in the lactose to complete the sweet and creamy mouth feel. Finally we added some super fresh raspberry puree which gives the beer a subtle tartness to finish.
